Intro to Rock Climbing Day Adventure
This retreat is designed for the new and curious rock climber. Join us for a one-day outdoor rock climbing adventure that will inspire your soul, stimulate your mind, and test your body. No rock climbing experience is required although experienced climbers are welcome and are guaranteed to learn something new and exciting. We will be traveling to one of San Diego County’s beautiful rock climbing crags where you will have the opportunity to ‘learn the ropes’ on real rock in a safe environment. You will learn how to assess, visualize, and overcome the climbs, while learning technical skills necessary to move forward in the sport. We invite you to challenge yourself and join us for some extreme fun in a competitive-free environment. Yoga will always be a part of your rock climbing practice.
Advanced Rock Climbing Day Adventure
This adventure will be tailored to build upon the general climbing skills that clients have obtained through previous Summit to Sea rock climbing retreats or other means. This advanced training day will focus on a variety of technical rope techniques, anchors, belays, and communication. Due to the intimate group size, you will have extensive one-on-one interaction and training, and we will all be able to climb as much as we can. The goal of the advanced training will be to provide you with the necessary skills, techniques, and safety-knowledge to take your climbing to the next level and give you the freedom to begin exploring boulders, walls, and mountains on your own!
Joshua Tree: Rock Climbing, Yoga, & Hiking Retreat (winter & spring)
Join Summit to Sea on a unique and thrilling adventure into the beautiful desert of Joshua Tree, to explore nature and your inner-self. This retreat is custom tailored for each group to offer an unforgettable experience, where you will have the opportunity to overcome individual challenges and bond as a cohesive group. Our guides and instructors will use their decades of experience and knowledge to insure your safety while promoting and joining in your growth, knowledge, and pure fun! Your days will be enriched with daily yoga classes (morning and evening), rock climbs, and hikes on a beautiful 10 acre property. In the evenings, you can relax in the hot tub under the stars after a healthy organic prepared vegetarian dinner. The group remains intimate at six retreaters total to ensure an enrichment-filled weekend for optimal climbing, yoga, and self-discovery. We ask that you join with an open heart and open mind to adventure and the outdoors.
Big Bear: Yoga, Hiking, & Rock Climbing (Summer Season)
Join us in beautiful Big Bear during the months of May through September. This retreat is more rustic as each person is expected to set up for camping in the outdoors. We provide most of the gear, you provide the open heart and experience to soak up nature and all of its benefits! In this three-day retreat, expect full days of yoga, rock climbing, community connection, healthy food, and adventure. This includes: two organic vegetarian dinners, 8 yoga classes/workshops, 3 days of rock climbing, and much more! All levels of yogis and rock climbers are welcomed.
